I’m a librarian and teacher at heart who loves connecting people with the information that they are seeking. I’m also a busy mom who’s trying to find time to pursue my passions and raise my kids at the same time.
I help other busy moms by bringing them research and experience-based information in ways that save them time and energy. Because what mom isn’t busy and doesn’t need someone to make life easier for them?
Let me tell you something about me.
When I became a mom, I felt like I had to read and know everything. And I mean, everything. How could I be a great mom if I didn’t have all the information? Well, after a few weeks with a newborn and constantly reading unhelpful article after unhelpful article, I started reaching out to every mom I knew for help. I’d read all of this idealistic information that didn’t help me when I was in the trenches with my baby. I needed a real mom to talk me through it.
I started this blog to help new moms like me who need someone to walk them through being a mom with real information based on real experience, not ideals. Let’s face it, we can all pretend like we have it all figured out, but most moms don’t (including me) and we need someone to authentically share how they do things and how we can too.
Right now I’m a mom to a baby and a toddler, a wife, a stepmom, a blogger, and I work at a college as a librarian part-time. Most days, I’m pushing myself just to get through the day. If you feel like me, this blog is for you.
The purpose of a librarian is to connect people to the information that they seek and that’s what my goal is in this blog. If you are a busy mom and you want someone to just walk you through meal planning, preparing for your baby, or getting through breastfeeding when it’s tough, I’m here to bring you that authentic information from someone who’s been there too.
If this sounds like a place for you, I’d love to have you as a part of my blog family. Subscribe to my email list to stay up to date with new tips, tricks, and recommendations!
Education & Experience
I have a bachelor’s degree in English and a Teaching Credential, which I used to teach English for 5 years.
In 2015, I went back to school to get my Teacher Librarian Credential and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. I then worked as a school librarian for 6 years.
I am now a mom to two little boys and a stepmom to two school-aged children.
After having my kids, I left my full-time job and started working part-time as a Community College Librarian. I will always have that drive to learn and share information with others, which is why I spend any extra time I can find writing articles on this blog.
